I have severe IBS-C and even though I am taking Amitiza, sometimes it doesn't work or if I overdo it on sugar (I seem to have a sugar intolerance, but also am blockheaded about
caving in to it). I end up doing enemas just to feel human again. Recently, I have been running a lot and doing races so coupling probably dehydration with multiple enemas, I have been experiencing rapid weight gain, and when it happens, it happens in my abdomen, butt, hips, and upper thighs. I know most people think I am imagining this but I am not. For example, less than a week ago I bought new pants that when I purchased them that day were loose on me. Today, they are snug. I have not been pigging out and have actually been watching my diet. Within the last 7 days I have done at least one, sometimes two, tap water enemas a day and a saline enema plus a tap water enema just yesterday. Usually within a week or so the "fatness" disappears and my clothes magically fit like before. Are enemas that dangerous? Is my body really screwed up? What can I do to make it go away faster? I am completely serious about
all of this - it has happened before. I don't know anyone else with IBS so other people think I am nuts. Please help!!
