Need help with ibs related nausia

I have had ibs-a for over a year now after a getting a chest infection i have alternateing diorrea and constipation with some bloating and rarely pains at the top of my stomach all of these i can deal with but its the constant nausia that gets me. on a good day i feel hung over and if i ever go out with friends or out side of my house for very long i feel like im about to throw up but i never have. When i was at work i coulden't stick the feeling and had to go home because of my constant sick days i was fired and now have no job. every time i goto my doctor he sugested anti nausia pills but none of them work now he seems to have given up. When i ask him what i should be trying next he just keeps saying things like "in time you will learn to live with it". I havent been out with my firends or on a real date with my girlfriend since i got this as every time i go out i feel sick.

I had an ultra sound and an oscapy and they found a small hiatus hernia but they said it was too small to be removed

Ive tried the major anti-nausia pills, some over the counter IBS pills includeing peppermint captules
and strict diets but nothing seems to help i know what foods will set it off like caffine and avoid them. I have been taking bowel essence and eating lots of bannanas that helps a little but its barely noticeble. what else can i try?

Have you tried Prilosec? It's an OTC acid reducer. I would imagine it would reduce your nausea by quieting your stomach down. My sister swears by the stuff. They have it in a generic, but it is still fairly expensive...but if it works, its worth it right?

Hi Joey i too have the same sickness feeling which has resulted in me losing my job a month ago and since not been out of the house cause my nausea prevents me from doing anything as im just running to the toilet every minute thinking im going to be sick. My doctor put me on mebeverine but its doing nothing and ive changed my diet im taking over the counter medicines for nausea but nothing works. Have you yet found anything that works?? thanks.
