I had my gall bladder taken out over 2 years ago. I still have an urgent diarrhea episode a couple times a week. This BM seems very acidic and burns. Anyone have any ideas on what is causing this? I am not celiac. I have tried staying away from dairy and that doesn't seem to help.
I would love some help.

Your liver is still pouring too much bile into your intestines, which is coming out as diarrhea...this is why it burns. (I wish I had this problem, I'm still constipated, even after having my g.b. out.) Anyways, I was just talking to my sister about
this today. She couldn't get through a meal without having diarrhea for two years after she had her gall bladder out. She said what helped her was to walk every day. So that is what I recommend. I'm going to start walking every day in the hopes of getting rid of my constipation.

Look on the forum for the information about
Caltrate, it is known to help with that type of diarrhea.

Ask your doctor about
Questran or Colestid. I have used these for a couple years and they work great.

I had my gall bladdar out last year, and my doctor told me to stick to a low-fat diet. I guess fat cannot be processed as well without the gall bladdar. I didn't really follow his advice, but you might find it worth trying.

Try lots of fiber and liquids, and exercise too. Bulks up the stool, healthy all-around tonic.
