Your symptoms sound exactly like mine were - I had a CCK Biliary Test which duplicated my body functions after a meal (totally painless) and determined that my gall bladder was nearly not functioning. If it 'died' I would have had to have major surgery rather than laproscopic which had a 5 day recouperation. Not sure if that's what your dr wants you to have or not. Within two days after the results were in I had laproscopic surgery to remove - and it was very much enlarged - felt like a million after it was removed after suffering the months and all previous tests were negative. The pain goes away when you have the gall bladder removed.
The yellow bowel movements are bile salts that are affecting them. I also am one of the 'lucky' people that have diarrhea since my gall bladder was removed due to the bile salts. This causes nearly immediate bowel movements and 'running' to the bathroom when you eat almost anything. To this day, thinking about greasy foods makes me queasy. Additionally, gall bladder disease seems to run in my family - many women (only) on my Dad's side of the family have had their gall bladders removed.
I've also used aloe vera juice mixed with water (half and half) to calm the insides down and have also had great success using calcium citrate (must be citrate), and have a new lease on life!
Best of luck with whatever course you choose!
