Okay, once again I find myself apologizing. I also thought we weren't supposed to post links.
Anyway, so sorry modernhood.
There are so many misconceptions out there about colonoscopies. I've had 10 or them by now. The prep is by far the most discomfort you have to go thru and then a needle prick for the IV (where they administer sedation). I've never experienced pain from a colonoscopy. Some gas and rumbling of my tummy afterwards but if I return to consuming solids (eating a few saltines first, then half sandwich an hour later) and fluids (sipping water, not drinking an entire glass) I do really well. By now I have my pre and post colonoscopy regimen down pat. If only they'd make a great tasting laxative prep though - lol. Then we'd be getting somewhere.......
