Hi jt, I've been thinking about you and had hoped you were feeling well. Like Shawn said, distraction does help. Sometimes I pretend I have a normal colon, lol, patting my stomach as I have these very thoughts. Does it work? Sometimes yes, I especially use this tactic when traveling. If stuck in a rest stop bathroom or large public bathroom with numerous stalls and I know no one will knock on my door, I just close my eyes for a while and do a whole heck of a lot of pretending! Mostly I pretend I'm home, not traveling. This does seem to relax my insides.
Personally, I think we can help eachother a lot around here, by lending advice on what works, what doesn't work for each of us. But when it comes down to it, I think each of us has to figure out the very things that work best for our touchy gut. Because line up 10 IBS patients and they'll all have different symptoms, approaches to their disease.
But for you to be doing this well, that is just awesome.
You take care jt! Nice to hear from you. Pop in from time to time and keep us updated on your progress.
