Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to deal with frustrated employers. I recently had a flare up of my symptoms that has lasted about 2 months and I often have to leave work early or constantly find someone to cover my section while I run to the bathroom. I work in retail and am the only person in my "high risk" (high theft) department so its very hard for me to just leave. I have several understanding managers but most are just annoyed and frustrated that they have to find someone to finish my shift.
I have written out a letter explaining my symptoms and what IBS is but they still seem to not care. Is there a way that you guys deal with employers? I want them to understand my problem so that they don't get frustrated and fire me (I live in a state which can fire you without any reason at all).
I will take any advice!
Thank you for listening!
