HELP! Need pain med for arthritis and Fibro that DOESNT irritate my IBS-D.

 Hi all, I have not been on this site for a long time. HAve been on Savella for Fibro and it gave me relief from IBS-D. Cant take meds I need for Bursitis and my arthitis right now with the Savella. Tried all the meds together and it about did me in. I am having TERRIBLE pain in shoulder and neck from the DDD and bursitis and Fibro. Doing therapy 3 times a week for 2 months. The only change is my billfold. 2,000.00 out of pocket plus what insurance paid. Theripist going to change up treatment but I cant continue with the pain or expence much longer. OK my problem is I cant take Tylonol because liver enzymes too high. I need a prescription or over the counter pain meds that wont put me in the bathroom the rest of my life. Ibuprophen doesnt touch the pain and have been told it will hurt my stomach. I know from past that if I need help finding a solution to a problem this is the place to come. Any suggestions. On FMLA again, dont think I am going to be able to go back this time. I cant even leave the house because of pain and IBS. Been almost 2 months and I am about to lose it. Started crying this week and cant stop.  COnstantly going to Drs. and so broke and was worth it while on Savella but I gotta find a pain med that I can take with it or without. Just gotta control the pain so I can concentrate. But it it causes the IBS-D with all of its pain it doesnt help.Hope someone has a suggestion. Take care.

Shawn, thank-you for the info. I have been on meds for 25 years to stop my IBS-D. None of them were pain meds. untill 2years ago when I started taking Tylenol and Ibuprophen for all over pain. I thought it was dehydration causing pain and fatigue. After test theh found the Fibro and arthitis, busitis etc. I sill wonder if being dehydrated all those years caused alot of my other problems. My IBS did not cause pain untill a few years ago. I am in physical therapy now and only taking my Synthoid for thyroid and Ibuprophen. Im sure all meds affect your stomach and the rest of your body too. I have begged DRs. for years to find a cure or reason and not just medicate. But they all say the same thing when I say I dont want to take meds. "You dont have a choice if you want to be functional and work". SOOO I take meds and look for another Dr. Now I am being told I have to take Humira for PSA Arthitis! Scary I DONT THINK SO. I am trying probiatics and diet and excercise but cannot tolerate my pain much longer. Getting worse everyday. That is why I am desperatly trying to find a pain med. Im going to try accupuncture if therapy doesnt work . MY pt said last week she didnt think it was going to help because of the Fibro. Anyway, sorry for the book. I will be careful of the meds. Most Drs. hand them out like candy. They are only a temperary fix. Thanks again for the article.
