Upper Right Quadrant Pain for 15 Years!

I have had this URG pain that is more of an annoyance then anything. Grassy foods make it worse. It comes and goes. When I was a drinker it was much worse. It also feel like a tightness if I move or stretch a certain way. I have been diagnosed with fatty liver before. I have had numerous Ultrasounds and all show fatty liver. Last Us was one year ago. Blood tests all normal. doctors don't seem too concerned. colonoscopy 2 years ago normal and scope of stomach normal. Gastro guys seems to think IBS maybe, He did mention that one of the markers for Crones came back positive.

This pain is just under the right rubs. What is in this area that IBS would affect?

Yea I never really pushed him about the so called elevated marker for Crohns.
I asked my GP about it and he kind of blew it off saying that those markers don't really mean anything.
How accurate are these markers?
What exactly is a Crohns marker?

I have had numerous ultrasounds and the gallbladder shows normal. The gastro said it could be a sluggish or inflamed gallbladder and a hide scan would detent that, but he said even if its sluggish theres nothing we can really do about it. So I never really did the Hida.

This pain has been on and off for 15 years, lately more on then off.
I was worried it might be the liver, but the doctor didn't think it was the liver because it will flare up with certain foods, the liver doesn't do that. I have had several colonoscopys and the only thing it showed was mild diverticulosis

I often wonder if I do have Crohns. about 10 years ago I got this attack that came on all of a sudden of SEVER abdominal pain, the most severe I ever felt. I was passing bloody mucous for about a week. I got really scared as that never hap end t me before. I had a colonoscopy and nothing was seen. It finally went away. Does that sound like a Crohns attack?

Have had that wicked pain for so long myself- antispasmodic med helps alot! IBS diagnosis 5 years ago and still working on figuring things out but stress good and bad definately make it worse! Now trying gluten free diet and eating quinoa daily which has great nutritional value! Important to eat yogurt or take probiotics daily! Gall bladder is out now, and the pain from a sick one feels like heart attack, try eating very low fat, take fiber supplement, drink lots of non- alchaholic drinks, and stay away from sugar substitutes!!!

I too have a fatty liver and my liver enzymes are elevated. Placed on low FODMAP diet and ordered to stay away from alcohol. Hopefully in time and with the new restrictions those will improve.

I agree with moderator that you should get that HIDA scan done soon! Take great care!
