Hi guys. I would like to give you some background and get some opinions so I can go into the Dr. with some questions and a little bit more knowledge. Recently I've been exhibiting some changes in my bowel movements to the point where I'm concerned. I'll start at the beginning.
about a year ago I went to the ER with stomach pains. I was told it was simply a bacterial infection and was sent home and some very very strong antibiotics. They kicked my ass. I was foggy and stuck in bed for 2 weeks. It took me about a week to get the meds out of my system and begin feeling better again.
Six months later I began to realize that when I would have a bowel movement I would have to return to the bathroom once or twice in the next couple of hours and clean myself again. I immediately got concerned and started analyzing my diet. I increased my fiber intake and things seemed to round itself out. This began to happen only once every week or two and for a period of a month or so it completely stopped.
Recently however, this is happening more frequently. I've noticed some other symptoms also and I can't help but think they are related. I am started to have a much stronger brain fog. I wake up in the mornings feeling "unhealthy." Like something in my stomach just isn't right. I consistently feel this discomfort towards the upper part of my GI tract. It is almost a feeling of being hungry. Like a pang, but it will happen right after I've eaten and it is usually associated with a very minor burning sensation. It almost feels as if someone has taken my stomach out of body and it's just a gaping hole...? Does that make any sense at all?
I also irregularly feel muscle spasms by butt hole.
All in all I'm growing increasingly concerned and I'm nervous about going to the doctor for fear of the diagnosis. Food is a rather important part of my life for both career and well-being so needless to say. I'm worried.
