Have you had any news from your doctors lately? Your symptoms sound very similar to mine!!

Severe abdominal pain and nausea and constipation (and a host of other symptoms) since 2009. I too have had a LOT of tests and no diagnosis properly. The doctors throw a lot of words around but they dont seem to agree with each other.

I have lately been using organic psyllium husks from my health food shop. I have used all the different laxatives, stool softeners, prokinetics etc etc and none of them work. Have used fibre products like metamucil and benefibre before (was using heaps and lots of water and didnt help). But lately took a gamble on psyllium husk. It seems to be helping a little. (Which is weird because that is what fibre supplements are made of!!!). It tastes really yuck if you just drink it in water because it has a weird texture. But I put it on my cereal or yoghurt or soup or pasta sauce or salad dressing or pretty much anything with a texture (unlike water hahaha). The people at the health food shop told me to start very slowly and drink lots of water (because it swells and soaks it up). If it helps and doesnt make your symptoms worse they said to then increase it.

I don't know if this will be of use to you. Hope you get some positive news from other posts and from your doctors. Best of luck!!!!

You sound exactly like me. I too have ankylosing spondylitis, asthma and food allergies. I am scheduled for colectomy on June 25th
