Hi all,

I'm being treated for my leaky gut and auto-immune disease by a a functional endocronologist. He ran a stool test and it came back positive for a bacteria called Campylobacter. He is suggesting a round of antibiotics as well as natural formula to clean the biofilm layer to ensure the die-off of the bacteria. He suggest I take Interphase Plus in addition to the antibiotics for the biofilms. Has anyone done this treatment before and has it worked? Do i really need to take Interphase or will the antibiotics be enough? Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated!

When did you become ill? Per the CDC - "In more severe cases, antibiotics such as azithromycin or erythromycin can shorten the duration of symptoms if given early in the illness" If you recently became ill then antibiotics might be needed.

The Interphase Plus is not something I had ever heard of. I looked it up and it sounds like enzymes and vitamins. Is your doctor an MD or another type?

The test doesnt show how long I've had the infection for but since I have an auto-immune disease (Hashimotos) my doctor wants to clear out the infection to heal the gut. Since the bacteria might be creating biofilm, the interfase was supposed to clear that so the antibiotics can get into the lining and kill off the bacteria. My dr is not an MD but is a DC who practices Functional endocrinology
