For the past two years I've experienced issues when consuming protein of any kind. I get immediately bloated and extremely tired - to the point where it is difficult to move after eating. The bloating lasts for days. I will then have very watery stools. I avoid grains and starchy carbs because I do not do well with these either. I have food allergies: tomatoes, gluten, dairy, and soy to name a few. I am also allergic to fermented foods and mold.
I am finding it difficult to eat in general and have very low energy, depression, hormonal imbalances, and a thyroid problem. The bloating and brain fog I experience is debilitating and makes it difficult to get out of bed and to go to work. Climbing stairs in difficult. I am only 27 years old and feel like I am 90.
I take lots of supplements and enzymes. I recently started taking Calcium Butyrate and VSL#3 - just a few days ago. I also take amino acids, liquid minerals and a high amount of l-glutamine. I also take adderal, estrodial and progesterone (for hormonal imbalance), and armour thyroid.
I used to be able to eat meat with no problems. In fact, when I stuck to a diet of only meat and veggies I felt great! And then two years ago everything started to collapse. I can't figure out what's going on. Does any one else have issues when eating protein? I'm concerned that I'm not getting the protein that my body needs in order to function. Since I can't eat grains and beans give me issues I'm very limited in what I can do. I did try eating some almonds and walnuts and experienced bloating, sinus congestion and low energy.
