Yes! I'll never be certain if my troubles are b/c I no longer have my gall bladder or my lower colon (due to cancer). Either way, I've been a mess for 14 years now.
I have tried so many approaches to this problem. If you are experiencing bile output in your stool b/c your gall bladder is gone, you can try several things: eat smaller meals, do not overwhelm your gut with 3 large ones, but rather 4 - 6 meals. Definitely eliminate fat from your diet as kazbern pointed out but beware, a lot of low fat foods have artificial sweeteners such as aspartame/phenylalanine and it's a toxin, so read labels carefully. You can try chewing a Caltrate Calcium Supplement with Vit D tablet with each meal (3 pills in total), sometimes these pills bind with the meal you are eating and your diarrhea and dumping episodes will be minimized. Didn't quite help me but it has helped others with bile output. You can also have your doctor prescribe cholestyramine powder, it's actually for high cholesterol but has a surprising side effect in helping absorb the bile and solidify stool.
Finally I recently became aware that doctors used to prescribe Sudafed D 12 hour pills (pseudoephedrine) for IBS. I have been taking one a day on work days for about 2 months and it does minimize my trips to the bathroom.
Good luck to you.
