After a week in pediatrics and having every test under the sun done. We have yet to be told exactly what our Daughter has....but they think it could be chronic functional abdominal pain? She now has to wait a few weeks to see a chronic pain specialist. Till then they have told us to continue doing what we were doing before She was admitted and that was to keep giving Her Tylenol every 4 hours and melatonin at night to help Her fall asleep cause She can't without it due to the pain being so bad. She falls asleep crying.
She has been dealing with all this since the end of May. When this all started We tried to get an appointment with Her physician but wouldn't be able to see the Dr. for months. So We hounded the E.R and child out patient clinics. Only after she fainted coming out of the shower and woke up on the bathroom floor did they take this seriously at the E.R.
They sent Her home yesterday afternoon. I didn't agree but they discharged Her anyway. Sure enough after attempting to eat it took no more then 10 minutes for the pain to start. She fainted by the end of the night.
We are bringing Her to another hospital and try to have Her re assessed? Just don't know if they'll take us seriously? This Mama isn't giving up.
Thank-You to all who have taken the time to read this post and to have given Us suggestions. Beyond appreciated.
