VSL#3

My son was taking VSL#3 given to him from his gastro dr. When the free samples ran out, I had his dr. order the prescription strength since I discovered one existed and it was cheaper. What they didn't tell me was that the prescription strength was in powder form. My son does not like it and now I am stuck with 3 months worth of it (10 boxes). Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do with it? I hate to just throw it out, especially since I paid $150 for them but because it needs refrigeration, it's not easy to just mail it off to someone. Thanks.

geez. i wish i lived close to you because i'd buy it off of you!! my insurance doesn't cover it so 1 box is $100. i can't believe you got it all for such a deal!! i'm in pgh, pa!!! i bet you could use lots of freezer packs and mail it overnight.

I've read on the UC forum that some use the powder to start the home made yogurt. Then you get your yogurt full of these probiotics.

And if you don't have the time to make home made yogurt can you not mix it with yogurt bought at the market.
