Is this IBS or IBD or what?!?

Hey gang! I've had pain in my right lower abdomen by my belly button and also my right upper under my ribs. This all started about 5 months ago along with constipation. When I would have a bowel movement the colors have been very strange. It's typically green, but would sometimes be a very pale color almost grey, I've also noticed an almost "orangey" color around my stool along with mucus . It's also very thin pieces. I went to the doctor and they said it was IBS after just feeling around on my stomach for 5 minutes. So I went to an GI doctor to get a second opinion. He ordered an EGD and blood work. The blood work came back that my hemoglobin was low. And the EGD showed inflammation. The past couple days I have had nothing but diarrhea. Yesterday I had 7 bouts within 2 hours. I noticed today there was blood in my stool. I just want some answers

My next appt is in 2 months. It seems like they're blowing this off but it's crucial to me.

Your EGD showed inflammation. You are anemic. You have bloody stool. What's the reason for waiting 2 months? Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. Find a new GI.

There should never be rectal bleeding without explanation. I don't understand what this GI thinks she's doing for you.

If she THINKS its hemmies then she should verify with a scope. It could even be a sigmoidscope or a proctoscope. As a minimum she could do a digital exam and see if she can feel internal hemmies.

What is her explanation for the anemia? A lot of women have low iron. What's your iron or hemoglobin? How's your ferritin?

Please ask her or your GP to take a look at the whole iron story, which includes ferritin.

Hi Everyone. GIprobsgirl. I have had some isses along the way for about 6-8 months. I have had a change in my BM and I am fatigue and extremely bloated. My BM is very thin at times but a lot of the times is very curly. Kind of looks like a brain when all said and done. IM sorry TMI.. Anyways, my Primary Care Dr. had me do some blood work and it came back everything was fine except that I had a high WBC. Which concerns me. I am a googeler. I good everything and make myself go nuts of what if it is something mire serious. Maybe you guys can give me some advice. Is a high WBC normal is I have something like IBS/Colitis due to the inflammation? I went to a GI Dr. an he put me on Dicyclomine 10 MG 4x daily. When I do take tis med I do got to the bathroom somewhat normal. Hope someone can help me because I am just going to worry myself until my colonoscopy
