I posted in lupus and Crohns but didn't get anywhere, so here I am in IBS and hoping to get some information on a Cecum Tumor. I have searched the web without anything also.
I joined healing well a few years ago because I have Crohns among other things, it became my rock.. Thank you everyone.
Today I am posting on behalf of my Gf that has Lupus.
A few weeks ago I decided to help her out and organize her medical records. Among those records was (2) colonoscopy's from 2012 (when she didn't have insurance) and the results were a 2 cm (or mm) cecum tumor. Her symptoms include: lupus, of course, but she gets severely constipated and throws up what appears to smell and resemble feces. As soon as I saw this in her record I took her to the hospital only to be discharged the same day. Another dr did an ultrasound and said nothing was there. She saw yet another dr who is doing a colonoscopy in 2 weeks.
My question is: do you know anything about a cecum tumor? Why are her liver enzymes so elevated?
She also has a mass in her lung which we are dealing with, her thyroid (1/2) was removed and the other half is being removed also now. (Cysts).
Her weight loss is alarming.
She was about 156 2 months ago for a person that is 5'9". She is now 123 Pds and is very thin. This could be from the thyroid which is hyper but it could also be from the "blockage" or the cecum tumor which has to be larger since it was in 2012 that they found it.
I have read up on the cecum and all I get is that it is a pouch where nutrients are absorbed and partly digested.. This makes sense when she states she throws up what appears to be feces, she is throwing up partly digested food.
Additionally, the liver enzymes that are EXTREMELY elevated (noted that she has a fatty liver) concerns me, I have read that a cecum tumor can lead to liver cancer and appendicitis.
Any advise here will be appreciated. The doctors she has seen are very passive and do not seem concerned for her. I am.
Thank you in advance.
