Hi everyone.
Have not posted for some time. I have just recently been diagnosed to have a moderate reading of Blastocystis Hominis in a bowel sample that I had to provide during a bout of stomach flu.
I am scheduled to have a colonoscopy in August. I had much diarrhea with the stomach flu but was able to get it to stop with the probiotic - saccharomyces boularrdii. This was recommended by my Nurse Practitioner. I was told to stop using it when the diarrhea stopped. I did that.
My N.P. has stated that the parasite is controversial to treat. I have done some research but wondered if
anyone familiar with this.
Thanks.
Loring
