I really need some help or advice, I'm suffering badly. For the past couple of days, I have had the worse pain in my right side - just under my ribs down my side. It's not my appendix (gone when I was 13), and it's not my gallbladder (I just went through a bunch of tests to r/o gb issues).
I have the worst bloating, no real gas and the feeling like I need to go. Normally, since I have IBS-C, I would think I'm just constipated and wait for it to work it's way through. It's nothing like that. I really don't even know how to describe the pain, but when I massage my belly (I do that when I'm constipated), it just hurts and feels sore. Last night the pain was so bad, that sleeping on my stomach (which I never do) actually helped...go figure. I could feel a "roll" in my intestines where it was hurting. That's what feel when I'm constipated, but I haven't eaten enough in the past few days...Unfortunately, this has set off a flare of my arthritis (which happens) so I'm just a miserable mess.
I've taken my lactulose 2 days now, nothing has happened. I've been drinking more water (I drink alot to start with), but I really can't eat much. My stomach feels yucky, but doesn't hurt. I don't have heartburn so antacids aren't helping either.
I really don't want to call my doctor to tell him I have a side ache and my appointment with the Gastro is not until the end of February. I'm wondering, do you think something might be stuck, you know, not able to get through?
Thanks for any advice, help, whatever.
