Normal stool followed by loose???

Hiya,

Does anyone ever go the loo and start off with a normal stool and then it turns loose and quite sloppy????????Not a nice subject I know but thats what we are all here for hey!!!

Yes Victoria... that happens to me occasionally as well. I think its the older stool first and the D follows right behind.

Yep, me too. I'm thinking that maybe the last part of the bowel might be better at water-reabsorptionl.... But it seems so unfair.......to get me thinking maybe I'm doing better........then..........splat! lol!

Just to say thankyou all for your posts.  Am pleased to hear I am not the only one with this trouble.  It is really annoying though as you get on the loo and think yey a normal day and then that happens!!!

Had this happen to me this morning. Had a regular poop, eve a little on the constipated side. Then I'm almost through my breakfast when I suddenly have to to again and this time it comes all out at once and it's flaky-looking pieces and a little water and a bit of burning. I think, though, that's all I'm going to do today (hopefully).

What is tricky is adjusting medicine for this phenomenon. I mean, my Welchol and calcium together can cause that first bout of constipation, but I can't very well give them up lest I have actual diarrhea after the first movement. How annoying is that?

The exact same thing happened to me today too.  I went to the loo when i got home from work and was a bit on the constipated side and then ate something and had cramps and went to the loo and it ws like toothpaste again, real thin and flaky.  Its so annoying, i just feel like its going to be liket his forever - well i guess it is really isnt it.
