CT for diagnosis?

Has anyone had a barium contrast CT to diagnose digestive problems? I have one scheduled today, but i really think it is more hiatal hernia or ulcer related. My upper middle stomach is tender, as well as my bowels.

I've been blessed with the opportunity to have a barium enema a year and a half ago.

Don't know if what you're scheduled for is similar, but just the upper GI tract. If it is, I guess they give you some barium junk to drink and then X-ray your digestive tract. Think the stuff is nasty but if helps them see what's going on, it's worth it.
