I have never understood allergy tests for food. I can see if one breaks out or stops breathing like shellfish but everyone's digestive system is different and I don't think it is necessairly an allergy to the food but rather difficulty in digesting different foods maybe because of our acid balance, what we ate with it,etc. I show no allergy to bananas but I double over if I eat any banana but banana flavoring is OK. I think it is trial and error and food diary time. When I started with the IBS my Dr. told me chicken, fish, potatoes, rice, noodles, no dairy and I think that got me back on track pretty soon. All white stuff and then I gradually added more things so now I can eat most anything. I do still take Acidophalous or Digestive advantage but even when i forget I am still doing pretty good. Because IBS is a functional problem it makes it much hard to compare people.
