Has anyone been to these sites or tried these meds?

Hey to everyone my name is kelly (LILRDKTP) I am new here and trying to figure how things work on postings . I made a mistake and posted a reply to shelly79 on june 29.I was wondering if anyone has been to these sites . www.digestrin.com or www.colocerin.com or tried any of this stuff. I am truely suffering with IBS among depression and anxiety. I already take zoloft for depression which i think i've become immuned to it but will see my psychiatrist in 3 weeks and hopefully find something else that will work . I take Klonopin and he has also raised that till i can get into his office . i have a cousin who was put on colestid and she's having good luck with that . At this time i cannot control the stress in my life . I am the only child , 40 yrs old with a 4 yr old high energetic son . My parents are not well so i take care of them . i just hope i can find something to help me . I am desperate!!!!!! My family is suffering because of me . I will see my reg m.d. dr mon and i hope she can help but I am going to suggest this colestid . I feel for all of you and hope we will all find happiness without worry in our lives . Kelly - it's me again - I just went back and read the other post of yours. I just want to add that I was completely "normal" one BM a day - until this all began for me back in Feb. At the time I was freaking out about this weird feeling when I swallowed, I thought I was dying and the doc sent me for tests. I have suffered with anxiety for years but it seems to get really bad when it has to do with my health. Anyways, I've never had the IBS symptoms until this time. Now it is like a runaway train - more doctors, more anxiety, more diarrhea, more tests, more diarrhea, etc. To top it off they found a tumor (not cancerous) on my adrenal gland which I have to decide whether to have removed or not.

Just want to add that I saw a psychiatrist a couple months ago and she said lots of her patients have similar problems with the diarrhea. And my therapist says the same thing. Made me feel better to hear that, so thought maybe it would help you, too.

Kelly- have you lost weight with this? I lost 22 pounds the first 3 months I had it. Have stayed the same since then, though. It really bothered me cause the weight loss didn't fit with IBS- but the doctors all said that's what I have anyways. Do you get nausea, too?

Hi Kelly - that's why I figured I lost weight, too. It all comes right back out. That and the anxiety over it and I just don't feel like eating - which is crazy cause I used to be a real lover of food! My hair is falling out really bad - it's so thin in the front I can see my scalp. I have never vomited, but do feel nauseous alot - it used to be alot worse than it is now, though. Right now, I usually just get diarrhea every darn morning which makes me apprehensive and hating mornings. At it's worse I was having it over 10 times a day. I started taking ativan in april and it seems to have calmed things down. Do you think the klonopin helps yours? At least now I can go out when I am feeling okay. Gives my son something to do besides hang around the house. Have you tried Calcium or acidopholus? I think they have helped me a little. Talk to ya' later, take care!
