Any feedback on Asacol!!!!

Hello, Does anyone have any info Asacol? I was prescribed this by my Dr last week but have been hesitant to take it. Is anyone else on it? Any side effects? Thanks

A friend of mine, who has Crohn's disease, has been taking Asacol for over ten years with no ill effects. You might want to check the UC board for this one, I'm willing to bet there are a ton of members there on Asacol!

Im from the Crohns board and most of us have tried it at some point. It is an anti-inflamatory. Helped me for awhile then stopped. Maybe 6 months or so. I then switched to Pentasa which is released in a different part of the GI tract. I hadnt heard of it being prescribed for IBS but if you are inflammed I guess it could help.
