tips for controll of serve pian

just need some adivce. today i went out for a cycle to our local town park. the weather has ben so good i wnated to take advantage of it. i got to the park and just as i got there came the stabbing pains in my sides. the pian got so bad i had to take strong pian killers and sit doubled over on a park bench unitl it felt beter. i thne strated to cycle home and was in so much pian it took ages as i could hardly move.

has any one got any tips for controlling thsi pian as it is raelly destroing my life not to mention my job. i thugoht everything was going raelly well thne it hits me.

i raelly need to srot something out as i want to go on holiday in a few months time on an activity week.

anythnig thta may help wiht the pian would be great. i will give anythnig a go at mo.

Try googling something like "Coping with PCOS". Maybe they have tips on how to relieve that type of pain, which I highly suspect is a lot of your problem. Maybe that's why nothing a GI doctor gives you helps: it doesn't work becuase it's not for the right problem.

I had forgotten that you have bleeding as well. Have you asked this same question over on the Chron's board? They have to deal with severe pain as well, so maybe they have suggestions for better pain meds.

Also, sometimes certain pain meds just don't work. I don't know how many different ones they've tried you on, but Proproxy (I can't remember what it's generic for--demerol?) doesn't do anything for me. I'm better off taking Ibuprofen than that stuff. My aunt, on the other hand, doesn't get any relief from morphine. And there's something that doesn't work on my mother. So if they haven't tried you on at least a second pain med, then that's something to ask about. Have you had your scope yet? Hopefully that will give you some answers. If you do have Chron's, there are things they can put you on to help heal you up so that you hurt less and have less D.
