Phew, you sound like my aunt. She has Crohn's, fibormyalgia and some syndrome that causes excess fluid on the brain. She did have 8 abcessed teeth, but she finally found a doctor who was willing to pull them and to start reconstruction of her upper jaw (a dentist somehow managed to remove a large section of her upper jaw and now her sinuses are sagging down into the gap; she's trying to find a lawyer to sue for malpractice). She's been on antibiotics a long time too because she's had those teeth abcessed for a long time. I can't imagine what that does to the guts.
Maybe after your surgery, you can get all of those infections cleared up and gone for good and that will help your bowels some. Reoccuring infections, even without antiobitic intervention, can really tear up the bowels because they get the flora out of alignment too, just like the antibiotics do. Heavy rounds of probitiocs wouldn't hurt you any.
I'm glad you enjoyed Scotland. My husband and I really liked it. Everyone was very friendly up there. Although, come to think of it, people were friendly outside of London too, we just didn't spend much time in England outside of London. Aside from the Museum of London, I could have done without London all together, and the Museum of London wasn't but half a day's entertainment. Warick, now there's a place to go. Absolutely wonderful tomb effigies. If you're ever interested in seeing your country through a medieval re-enactor's eyes, lol: http://www.angelfire.com/planet/medievalsca/index.html
