Hello,

Thanks alot for this great help you offer to those who suffer and think thak that they are alone in this world.

I was diagnosed as IBS, and I went to so many docs in different specialities and they all agreed that I'm under stress. I'm hypertensive, and I have alot of symptoms that always scaring me

purbing all the time, fluctuation, conectipation, general fatigue after meals and also after toilet, diziness, fluttering in all parts of my body, the most scaring one when it happens under the left ribs althoug it also occurs in the right side and eslewhere.

cramps in my back moving from a part to another, sometimes I have an attack of trembling, sweating and hard & irregular heart beating.

The cardiologist said it's due to mineral difficiency as I'm taking anti hypertension drugs.

I had a barrium enema once and it was OK, mouth has got bad smell. and many other symtoms.

I'm afraid it's not an IBS and it's something else I'm not sure of and the docs as well.

I feel like I'm the only one in the world who suffer like this, does anyone have similar symptoms?

any advice?

Did the cardiologist tell you which mineral you were difficient in, and have you tried using supplements? Yes, that can cause some problems.

If you have a bad taste in your mouth all the time, that may indicate a bacteria problem. Try Activa yogurt or a probiotic supplement for a month and see if anything improves.

Your symptoms are consistent with IBS, so if your doctors have concluded that is what is wrong with you, then you are probably okay on relying on that diagnosis. They could be wrong, of course, but rarely do they miss anything more serious. In short, they don't miss cancer, if you're worried about that. They may, however, confuse a bad gall bladder with IBS. Also, IBDs, like Crohn's, can be hard to spot early on, so you may be labeled with IBS, when you really have an IBD that's just not showing itself well enough to be diagnosed. If you get worse, definitely go back to the doctor, as that may be a sign that you have something besides IBS.

At last I have found someone that is feeling the same as me! do you sometimes feel so sick that you through up after meals?

Sometimes I get to the point after feeling that I feel like my stomach as expanded so much that it hits my lungs and causes it hard to breath, I then go into a panic or the wave of panic can come first before the pain the the breathing. my doctor has told me the same thing about IBS but i am going back to see my gastroantriologist. I get so down sometimes.

Eating is misery for me as well, which is why I do it only once a day, after I am home from work and in for the night.  The pain, gas, bloating, D, or C, is so intense that I really don't want to be around people in that state.

I have found that applying a heating pad to my belly is helpful in breaking up locked gas that doesn't want to move.  I have also found that massaging the gut and laying on your left side can get things going as well.  Since almost all food causes the chain reaction I mentioned above, I really can't say that any one particular thing is the culprit, although I have avoided milk products for years.  I do see a slight difference if I keep my portions small and don't overeat.

I totally agree with eating small and often has helped me. I have actually seen by specialist today and he has explained alot. They have said that the contracts through out my body dont match as the food moves through and therefore I am getting the pain. They have put me on anti- depressents and I have been on them for 2 weeks now which has strangley helped alot. The doc has said that anti-depressents help to match the contracts together again and help with the pain. I didnt think it would hlep but was willing to do anything. stangley they have helped! definatly recommend it!

m so glad they are helping. it sort of sounds like you might be having some panic or anxiety attacks as well. Did the doctor talk to you about that at all? I know that I have always had anxiety and panic with my attacks. Your anti-depressants should help with panic as well as the ibs. I hear they can help ibs a lot. I too have found a heating pad helps for the gut pain. I often use it on my back as well or sometimes I use ice packs on the back. I go to the chiropractor which is great. I have also found relaxation breathing and yoga and exercise have helped some. If you are religious pray. I still need to take my own advice more. I still tend to panic during an attack. antidepressants may help we have Seratonin in our stomach and that is what they work on. I don't know if it is in the stomach or the intestines but supposedly we have more there than in our brain. They have really helped some friends of mine.

what anti-depressants is any of you taking?

can you recommend some which I can talk to my doctor about and see if it can help?

the most teasing symptom I now have is the much much much amount of Gas moving through, associating with bluring vision and breath hardness, goes and comes in attacks.

I'm always having anxiety.
