can anyone help me to ease my itching relief of hemorrhoids? I have tried prep h and tucks. Is there anything else that anyone has used that is helpful?

You might try some hot baths with epsom salts. Witch hazel is the active ingredient in Tucks pads, and that should help some, but you might also try some hydrocortisone 1% cream (sold OTC - it's an anti-itch cream).

If its extremely bad and OTC products and sitz baths are not helping, you can ask your doc for a prescription strength suppository that may help you. Anusol is used for many things (inflamation, itching, burning) and its a hydrocortisone cream or suppository (prescription strengh, need rx). It also will help take care of the problem from the inside out, especially helpful if you are having internal hemmroids as well.

Hi Audittbeme,

I used rectal suppositories to relieve itching and pain. Several years ago I went to the doctor to do fixative procedures with good results.

If you have external inching it may be better to use cream or oinment formulation, for internal hemorrhoids suppositories are better (those mentioned by Dbab). And I heard that people have good relief from pain and itching with neo healar.
