My husband had a kidney stone that got stuck in the tube leading to his bladder . They went in and took it out and he did fine but ever since then he will have to feel like he has to go pee and nothing happens .. He still pees but alot of false alarms .. Is it normal to do that after surgery ?

Sorry for the delay. Oh yes that is very normal. Only thing is how long has it been since surgery?

When I have a stone and they remove it, it will cause bad bladder spasms for me for about two to four weeks.

Feeling like you have to pee can be a sign of bladder spasms. But if it continues then he should go back and see his doctor.

Also welcome to the kidney forum. Usually I'm around but work has been working me to death..

Oh Bless him, Since it has been around for a month I would deffiantly call and ask his doctor. I can't imagine how uncomfortable/annoying that has to be! Please let us know what the docs say???

he went to the doctor yesterday and they found a tiny bit of blood still in his urine and the doc said that he dont want to have to go back in but if it hasnt stop by dec 11th he was gonna go back in a see what is causing the bleeding . He gave him meds anitbotc lol cant spell . So we will see what happen next.

Could be another little stone stuck in there also. Or they could of niked a vessal. Its good that he went back to the doctor. A month seemed to be a long time.
