I never had any problems urinating and never any pain or inablility to urinate. I was out fishing with a cfriend and because my friend was a she I hesitated to urinate off the back of the boat so I held it in. Finally I couldn't wait any longer so I had to go. When I did finally go my urine was the color of Merlot Wine and then stopped so I couldn't urinate any more. Fortunately my friend was a nurse and she rushed me to the hospital
To make a long story short I went to a Urolologist and he put a camera up into my bladder. He said I had bladder cancer so eventually I had my bladder removed. The point here is that I had no indication at all of any problems or pain until I staterted urinating blood.
For any one that might end up with this problem I would strongly suggest having the bladder removed, there are other solutions with a lesser chance of survival but It's been six years now without any further evidence of cancer. The bladder removal is no big deal it's just a little inconvenient.
