Starting 5 months ago, I had burning, frequent urination and back-pain and intermitten gross hematuria. The tests I did are as follows:
CT scan of urine system (July 27, 2015): 8 mm non-obstructing stone in the upper pole of left kidney. The radiologist
was suspicious about bladder wall thickening and was saying in his report this can be due to an organic reason or due to an incompletely
filled bladder and he was suggesting cystoscopy.
Note: since I had frequent urination, I went to toilet multiple times before CT scan test. I think my bladder was completely empty.
Cystoscopy (July 27, 2015): normal results.
Urine cytology (July 27, 2015): negative
Ultarasound of urinanry system (September 9, 2015). Everything normal
(including bladder wall thickening. In this test, they asked me to drink
a lot of water before test) except stone in the left kidney.
In my urine tests: no infection, intermittent gross hematuria and psa
oscillation (1.7, 1.87, 2.6, 1.51 with time).
My symptoms of intermittent gross hematuria, back-pain, frequent urination and burning before/after urination continue.
My questions: what is the source of gross hematuria? Kidney stone?
Based on my tests, can we rule out bladder cancer? Since my stone
is not obstructing, i am not sure if it is the source of blood.
I have been to multiple urologists and they now recommend
to remove kidney stone. Some said this is the source of blood in urine and some said it may not. I am confused.
Note: I have no pain due to kidney stone. I am 36 years old male.
