Need of some help please.

I went to the Doc for blood work as I was complaining of lower back pain on both side which comes and goes mainly when I twist from side to side but for the most part it's a dull pain on my left lower back. The pain is like a 2 on a scale of 10. Also did an Altra sound on all major Organs and the Tech said all looked fine but I have one kidney bigger then the other. She also said it's normal as I am 6ft 4 so I may have a bigger Kidney for my height. Should I be worried that my pain and a larger kidney is a sign of Kidney Problems??

So here are my results.... 49 yr old male. Creatinine is 97 and eGFR IS 71. Also I have noticed some bubbles in toilet but I do have a heavy stream and as I'm 6ft 4 and I have a longer way down to hit the water.

Should I be worried?? Thanks for any help.

Hello ram,

If you have pain in your kidneys that could be a problem. It can indicate that ethier you do Infact have a kidney problem or it could be injurys or a kidney stone.


dull pain located on the upper back. The kidneys are located high on the mid-section of the back under the rib cage. a dull pain is usually a sign of a kidney infection. However, dull pain that continues may be a sign of a chronic problem such as kidney disease. Only a doctor can make a proper diagnosis.


Some people with kidney stones or underlying kidney disease also feel pain in their low to mid back. Sometimes the pain radiates around their back and to the side or front of their body. The location of the pain can also move, especially if a stone is causing the pain. The pain may start out high on the back and gradually move to the mid to lower back as the stone moves down toward the bladder.

Well just got back from the Doc I mentioned the bubbles from my urine in the bowl did a urine sample and they tested my urine with a dip stick and found no traces of protein in Urine. So should I feel better about this and maybe my symptoms have nothing to do with my Kidney?
