I've been newly diagnosed with impaired kidney function (with a Creatinine level of 1.32)
I have been on a Paleo diet for four months and I think my animal protein intake has really increased so I am hoping that my high Creatinine levels have something to do with that.
Anyway, I am pondering taking a Choline-DHA supplement, and I'm reading mixed opinions. Some saying that a choline deficiency can hinder the kidneys, and others saying that an increased choline can harm.
Also, I am wondering if vegetable protein is much better than animal protein for kidney sufferers?
Someone told me, "protein is protein, and whether its from lentils or beef, your kidneys are still stressed having to break it down." How true is this?
