I am so glad that you got this wonderful news! I had just posted the other day about being in stage 2... scary. I am wondering, are you currently taking any of the Immunosuppresive meds? Specifically, Cellcept? My rheumy has put me on that one, and my GP has referred me to a nephrologist. My brother is in End Stage, and is on dialysis. He sees the only Nephrologist here in my town, and does not like him at all... so I will be looking for another.

Thanx every one for your support! What a battle the last few years have been. Victoria, I have taken Cellcept, I failed it twice. I have taken every thing out there including chemo (cytoxan). It's kind of ironic. They actually decided to stop treating my kidneys after my last biopsy because of the amount of scarring. Then I had heart/brain involvement so I had to have aggressive treatment again. Then, they had to take me off of the cyclosporine, which was kind of a last straw, so I am back down to prednisone, imuran and plaquenil and my kidneys started improving kind of "out of the clear blue". I would like to encourage you about the cellcept. Most people have alot of success with it. Mine is definiitely an atypical case. Stage II ckd probably sounds pretty scarey to you, especially in light of your brothers situation, but some people can sit at stage II and never progress any further and some of us have bounced back from End stage. So don't get too stressed out. Keep a close eye on your blood sugar and blood pressure. Be very vigilant about your medicine. Keep up with all you test and appointments. You will be in my prayers.
