I know we all have a tendency to raid the fridge a little more more than normal when we do the high dose of pred. Well normally I am only on 5mg so I don't have a lot of trouble with grazing! Anyway I just had to share the most rediculous thing I have done in awhile with you. I got up this morning and I tried to straighten up my bed a little. right down at the bottom of my bed a a twinkie LOL. fortunately it wasn't completely open. I must have rolled over on it because it was smashed and partly open but at least the cream filling was still inside but there were crumbs on the sheets. The thing is I have no recall as to how on earth I ended up with a twinkie in my bed. lol. One of these days I'm gonna wake up 50 lbs heavier than I went to bed with cream filling all over my face lol. I can't beleive I actually went sleep sleep walking for a twinkie last night. tongue

Hahahahahaha, Carol!!!  I'm laughing out loud right now!  That is hilarious. You must have busted a gut laughing when you found that!  I'm picturing a chocolate twinky in a wrapper that resembles a mushed up piece of poop. Hahahaha.....  Okay, I'm a sick-o.  I have a potty brain....

 

So now at least you KNOW you sleep walk!  You'll have to put a lock on your fridge door.  Or set up a video camera to record your "break and enters".  Hahaha....

Ginny, LOL I can't eat chocolate it was actually vanilla but thanks alot for the visual. So when was it the last time you had a brain scan? I hate to say it sweetie but I think you may be due! LOL

Carol, When I am on big doses of prednisone I will actually dream about food. It's all around me but I can't ever get it for some reason or another! I'm down to 10mg and paying the price to get rid of the weight! I loved your storey! LOL! Judy

Hahahaha, I'm having an MRI in March, Carol.  Think that's soon enough????? Does my situation sound critical??????? LOL.

Im new to the forum and I just want to say that is funny! I just recently started on prednisone@20mg then had to up it to 40mg and I find my self waking up around 2:00am looking for a bowl of cereal.. I have started to decrease it back to 20mg. I really have alot of questions about meds and what others are going through.

Twinkie!!! What a hoot Carol!!! I have also found some strange things in the bottom of my bed but it was more like *blush* undies, towels and socks !!! LOL Welcome to the forum Jessie!!! I hope you'll post a new topic so all the others will see and welcome you!! Tell us all about yourself!! Cereal is a good choice when you get a snack attack!! I'm glad you are able to decrease your pred. Can't wait to hear more about you!! Blessings!

hello

Thank you for responding to me I was diaq in 2005 with Lupus. I was fine for a couple of years and now the last year has been a up hill battle. I have lupus,aps,celiac (wheat allg) my meds are pred,plaq,prilosec,asprin,Imuran,I cant remember what else. :^} I was told that I have mast call disease. Has anyone heard of this? and can you help me understand it. Also I have developed all these food allg that I never had before. could it be due to my Immune system over acting Im so lost right now.

I know this is a couple weeks old, but I woke up last night about 1:30ish just feeling gross. and all I could think of is what I would give for a twinkie right now. It made me smile and I fell back a sleep for a half hour..

LOL sorry I missed this originally. For me a twinkie would trigger my gag reflex (I think it is because all my mother ate when she was pregnant with me was freaking twinkies and she drank pepsi ironically I cannot stand pepsi either). Before my prednisone dose went down I would snack on fruit and veggies and popcorn at all hours of the day and night. I would wake up starving for no good reason. Now I am forcing myself to eat at least 1 time each day for the baby. Sad thing is when I am not pregnant I will go days at a time without eating anything.

   I'm sorry I missed this earlier! This is such a funny topic. I have gotten alot of laughs from your post and the replies!! We all need a good laugh sometimes...laughter is suppose to add 8 years to your life. Thats what the commercial says anyway..... :-)   Keep the funnies coming!!
