Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is doing good.  Well I have some good news.  I saw my transplant nephrologist on Tuesday and my creatinine is down to 1.0 again (when I saw my local nephrologist in March it was 1.4).  So I was extremely happy about that.  She also said that its still possible for us to have a baby.  She gave me a prescription for Imuran to replace the cellcept, and IF the endocrinologist says I can still get pregnant and my body does well on the Imuran, we can try to have a baby after we move and I find my new doctors. 

Yea, we are already moving from Ft. Benning because my hubby got orders for recruiting, and we may be able to go home for three years if he can get a position in chicago.  So I am very excited about that. So if all good really really well we could be back home in a few months, and maybe have a baby by next year.

   Thats great news for you and the hubby! I wish you all the best with trying to have a baby and the move. I will be praying the Imuran works well and you will be able to concieve once you move. Please take care and keep us updated.

Thanks for the support everyone, I cannot tell you how much both the creatinine levels and the possibilty of having a baby have extremely elevated my mood. I have not felt this optimist in so long I just thought that things were just going to continue to get worse for me, but with just one doctor's visit I was able to a glimmer of hope, I'm not sure if that sounds right and its hard for me to express exactly how I feel but I know that being apart of this forum has helped me to know that I am not alone and that I may get what I have always wanted and thought I may never get.

Hi,

That's great news. When did you have a transplant and how did it go? I'm currently on dialysis and am supposed to get a transplant sometime soon. My donor has to loose some weight first. But hopefully it will happen soon. I'd like any information that you can give me about your transplant. I would appreciate it.

Hey Suzanne,
I'm doing really well. My son is actually at the hosp as we speak with his girlfriend, they are about to have a baby girl, my first grandchild! I'm so excited, they started inducing her tonight about 6 pm, nothing much has been happening, so they're going to let her sleep and start Pitocin in the morning. She's overdue by about a week, went in for her check up today and nothing had changed, kind of "lost it"...poor thing, she's just so frustrated nothing was happening. Her blood pressure was slightly elevated and the doctor told her she would induce her tonight since she was ready. I actually just got home a bit ago, told her to get some good sleep and I'd see them tomorrow. Caleb is so excited, he can't wait to be a father. I'll keep you posted!

I am sooo happy for you guys. I hope that everything goes very well and that they both get through this without any complications. Please Please let me know what it is when you find out! So what will this little baby be calling you?

Lori, congrats. I know exactly how she feels having been there recently myself (though I was not yet over due, just past when they had expected me to deliver by).
