yeah   yeah yeah yeah yeah   The baby is here, I had to have an emergancy c-section- the cord was around his neck and caused some distress. He was 6lbs 8ozs and 19in long. After they removed the cord Alexander Kane has done exceptionally well. I am well, a little painful but doing okay. Alexander will go home when I do and has red hair- a throwback to hubby's birth father. Hope everyone is well. I will write again when I am home.

tongue  Congratulations on the birth of your little one.  You have been in my prayers and I have been checking the boards daily to see if you had had your baby.  I am so glad that he is here.  Take each day slowly and get as much rest as you can so you don't flare. 

I have 1 son with red hair and 3 grandsons with red hair.  They are all so cute.

Congratulations, Redrose! You did it! I hope you get some time to rest and recouperate and feel better not carrying the baby anymore. What a sweetie, I'm sure. Much love to you and your family and your new son.

Redrose!!!!! I'm so darn happy for you!!!! What a long journey you traveled to get that little boy. Redrose....red-headed son. What can I say? My granddaughters are both redheads and they get lots of attention when they're out and about.

I hope you're feeling ok and that you regain your strength soon. I have a 2 month old puppy and am not getting anything done, much less sleep, and she's not even a little people baby, so forget about your house and focus on sleep and rest! You don't want to relapse.

Yay!!!  Congratulations to you and your hubby It must be such a relief to finally have little Alexander in your arms and know he is safe and healthy.  Now it's time to really take care of yourself.  I have read that some women can really flare after childbirth due to the big change in hormone levels, so make sure you get lots of rest and pampering. Thanks for sharing the news.  A big hug to (((((you, your hubby, and Alexander)))))

Hi Redrose:

Congratulations on the birth of you baby boy. I had a C-section when I had my Nikita I found rocking in a rocking chair helped a lot with my pain. Apparently, the pushing off with your feet, while rocking helps with the muscles were they cut.

Your baby's name is a great name and I'm just so please that he's well and doing fine. I hope you have a speedy recovery and looking forward to hearing how you are soon.

Barb, Thanks for the rocking chair advice there is one in the room. Once the IV is out I can move more freely.

I am definately enjoying my baby just wish the hospital would stop sending social workers and psyciatrists to interview me since none of them have seen signs of baby blues let alone depression.

yeah  Yay we have a new baby! I'm so happy for you and dad! Don't let those doctors get to you. Remember you have been through alot. They are just trying to be carful. Plus what else have they got to do beside bug ya? So do me a favor........kiss that babies fat neck for me! Alexander weighed more than eiter of my babies. One weighed 5lbs 12 ounces and on weigh 6lbs exactly. Of course they were both all FEET tongue lay them down and they had skinny little bodies with huge feet sticking up LOL. Enjoy these days and get well soon. I'm glad everything is going well and baby will be coming home with you.

That is wonderful news rose and just in time for mother's day tongue !!!

I hope you and the little one get plenty of rest (you especially)... I sometimes wish my daughter was that young again. Oh how I miss those days!! Well you take care and conserve your strength!!! Look forward to hearing from you soon!!!

Wonderful! Just great! Congrats! been checking EVERY day! This baby has captured all our imagination and we have been with you ALL the way, personally, I thought it was I that was the expectant one, so great was my expectancy!
Er, has the dad a bit of Irish in him, is that what you mean when you mention the red hair?
I am Irish in ireland, so that just great.
I have a nephew called alexander who was a millionaire before 40yrs old, so Alexander I feel has a glowing start, I shall instill from a distance, great things on him.

Ann, my husband has Irish, Scottish, and Cherokee heritage- he was born a Mullins with connections to the Carol or Carroll family
(no one is sure which spelling because his birth mother had a stroke and his birth father was murdered the month before he was born and they were the only ones who knew for sure). My family has Irish, Scottish, English, French, native american, and some asian. My husband ended up with green eyes and nearly black hair. I have a weird brown hair (the color varies depending on my health from medium brown with gold and red highlights to white when I am doing poorly but only in 3 places the rest gets really light brownish gold) with the palest blue eyes any eye doctor I have seen has come accross while still having color. We hope to someday be able to visit Ireland but that is in the distant future unless we win the lotto.

Oh my, what an ancestry, that is great! I am unsure if Caroll has ever been spelt Carol, shall look in the phone directory for you.
Any Irish back here that you know of? What part of Ireland were they from.

Have you heard the word 'chisler' before? think its an irish idiom.
