Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let you know that Zoie Marie was born on May 13, 12:54 pm! She's beautiful and weighed in at 6lbs, 15oz, she's 21 inches long, so she's long and lean..

I was there for the birth, actually held one of Missy's legs for her as she was pushing, she did an awesome job. They let Caleb guide Zoie out as she was being born! I was very surprised at that one...didn't know they'd let the dad's be so involved. And then he cut the cord as well. Quite an emotional day!

Missy has a little boy from a previous relationship, his dad passed away when he was only 2 so he's been calling Caleb Daddy for a long time now, and has just recently started calling me Grandma, maybe half the time, Lori the other half. I spent most of the day with him yesterday, took him to my company picnic, he had a great time!

Health-wise, I'm still doing very well, I am so blessed to be able to come through everything and be as healthy as I am! Things are going great. I think of everyone here often, but I'm horrible at keeping up with everyone. You're all in my thoughts though! Take care everyone!

Wooo Hoooo Lori!! So happy things went so well!! YES they do involve the family now. . . .it's fantastic because it helps with the Daddy bonding. I attended the birth of my two grands too and there is no way to describe the really awesome spirit of the occasion. Glad you are feeling so well! If I remember right you have/had some huge kidney issues (transplant?) and I'm sure you appreciate every moment of wellness. Its great to get an update from folks who are doing so well. Very encouraging!! Blessings!

Oh Lori, that's so wonderful, now they have one of each. And you are Grandma!!!! I am very happy for you. I take it the new kidney is working very well then. The baby has a beautiful name. Congrats and my you and your family continue to be smiled upon.

  Congrats on the new grandbaby!!!! yeah yeah   I know you will have a great time spoiling her..... :-) .

Yes Rosie, you remembered right, I had a kidney transplant - over 2 years ago now. The only issue I had was a couple months ago I started peeing blood, freaked me out of course, and called my nephrologist, he ordered a CT and found I had a huge stone in my bladder. Apparently, a very small staple had migrated from my surgery area and was lodged where Caleb's ureter was attached to my bladder. A stone then formed around it and started irritating the area, thus causing the blood in my urine. I had to have a cystoscopy and stone removal, a day surgery, and things have been great ever since. Scares you though, if anything goes wrong, you wonder about rejection, etc....
