Hi REDROSE-

CONGRATULATIONS on your new baby!  I am so glad you were able to do this as it was very controversial as to whether or not I should proceed with the pregnancy with having lupus.  I heard both ways from different doctors but closed my eyes and "went for it".  I did fine with no flare ups and now have a very healthy 19 year-old son!!!  I am so glad I listened to myself!!

You will have a great life with him ahead of you!  (My son also loves red hair and would think you are SO LUCKY!!!)

Thanks. It is wonderful to have Alexander here and healthy. The only cloud on my happiness is that I am so darned weak. If I do much of anything I get really cold and start trembling hard and uncontrollably. I have no clue if this is normal, but given that if I rest/nap I feel better I am guessing it has to do with recovering from the c-section.

Thanks. I am feeling weak but the doctors want me to walk as much as possible to avoid blood clots. They said I actually lost less blood than they expected and am having barely any bleeding now- after a normal delivery I basically come close to hemorraging for 2 weeks if I get out of bed at all. The big thing is my husband has been the one doing all the housework since November and lets just say he knows next to nothing about cleaning.
