Hi hun, I know I started this post but I havn't written much. I'm batteling a illness at the moment. I just wanted you to know that I continue to keep you in my prayers. I hope you have a peaceful weekend and get some rest.

Hey Marji,

Does it ever cross your mind that we are pin cushions sort of.  guinea pigs to the use of these different drugs.  I take 12 to 14 different meds a day.  I wonder what it is doing to my liver.  I have taken Lyrica, but could not tell that it did anything for me at all.  Increased my appetite, made me gain weight, but did nothing for the pain of fibromyalgia.  I never thought that maybe it would not stop the pain, but would change how I responded to the pain.  I still have some of it left, and could get more from my GP if I wanted it.  Just don't think it is worth it to me at this time to take it.

I would be terrified of taking methadone.  I watched a dear friend live with methadone, and life after dilaudid.  she was as addicted to methadone as she was to dilaudid.  the only difference was that methadone was legal, and dilaudid was illegal.  I took her everyday to the methadone clinic to get her dose of methadone.   She was in the last stages of liver failure when I started taking her to the methadone clinic.  I saw so many people there. young, middle aged, and old.  all were addicted to methadone, and drove everyday to the clinic to get the daily dose.

Sometimes I feel like methadone clinics are not there for the people, but there only to make money selling methadone.  So many people, thier lives ruined forever due to drug addiction.

Ginny, I just wanted to let you know I am praying for you. I know you are going through a lot right now but you have a strong faith and I know you will lean on him and he will see you through ALL of this. Stay faithful and know you are in my thoughts and prayers. ((((hugs))))

Hey Marji, Stacie and Carol,

 

Thanks sisters! I am doing a lot of praying and just giving all of this over to Him. He's the only one that can manage the burden.  I'm having a much better day today.  I think the Zoloft is really kicking in.  I had an uniterrupted sleep last night too.  The first in about two months. 

 

The surgery is in 4 days. But I don't have excessive anxiety about it. I'm feeling much more positive, and my pain levels are more manageable too.

 

Thank you for keeping me in your prayers. He's listening intently!! I want you to know that you are all in my prayers too. I know you're having troubles too, and I want you to know I am here for you as well. Stickin' together!

It is good to see you back again.  Glad that your anxiety is not so bad thinking of the surgery to happen in a few days.

Unity is a powerful phenomena.  One person cannot stop a tree from falling, but a hundred somebodys could hold it up and replant it easily.  Standing together empowers all of us.

I am much better off having found this list.  Had I not found it, I would probably be sitting quietly in my rheumy's office, accepting his word as written in stone, and never telling him about my symptoms on a daily basis.

I think you are much too young to have your body aged by Sjogren's Syndrome.  I look at my own body prematurely aged by Sjogren's.  And it must be so much harder for you, than it is for me.  But still you are there for all of us, and that in turn reveals that we are all there for you, and there is great power in this.  Unity will never fail us.

Okie

You do what you are able to do.  No one can ask you to do more than is possible for you at the moment.  Many many times you have been there full force for all of us.  you are not well now.  You cannot be expected to do more than you already are doing.

Hi Hester,

 

Well, the anxiety and panic is back.  I had to stop taking my coumadin (blood thinners) last night.  I started injections of Heparin instead. All this to prepare for my surgery on Wednesday.  I'm so used to my coumadin and I know it keeps me alive and protects me from another stroke.  I'm in a panic about what might happen now that I'm on something different.  I'm also panicking about bleeding to death on the operating table..... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. 

 

What you said about unity is so true.  We are all part of a special group here. It is a blessing.

Now, I presume all the doctors concerned know your history, that is your general practicianer, the person who looks after your lupus, your bloods and the surgeon.

They would never do an operation such as this one if they felt there was any major risk to yourself.
Now, if you had a hole in the heart and there was a big risk, they would have to take that risk.
that is my feeling. This op is to ease some of the dreadful suffering you are going through. In itself the problem is NOT life threatening, is it?
Please please go easy on yourself.
If need be have a good clear talk with the surgeon. And the doctor looking after the blood situation.
I am thinking of you and I HAVE the 'beads out' metaphorically!
Another chi maybe.......?

(((((((((( Ginny )))))))) Am thinking about you sis! Your day is almost here. I'll be thinking about you all day Wednesday. . . . You have a very special day. Our election is the day before, so Wednesday will be the first day in the US w/o the tired political ads. YEAH!! . . . . and . . . its a really special day because its my Mom's 80th birthday!! YEAH! I hope you surprise EVERYONE and heal WAY faster than even the doctors expected!!! You have been such a blessing to all the members here. We are ALL pulling for you sis!!! Hugs, prayers and . . . Hi Ann, Yeah, they all know my complexities! That is why I'm anxious.  I'm worried they'll miss something. I need to be "on the ball". You're absolutely right.  If I was too much of a risk, they wouldn't let me do this. It's not life threatening surgery and I got the green light from everyone.  Thanks for setting me straight!

 

Hi Rosie!! Yes, it is a very special day in many ways I'm reading! I'm actually quite happy the election is on Tuesday. I can watch it before going to the hospital on Wednesday.  I guess the results will be aired Tuesday night, or is it going to take until Wednesday for everyone to know?  Canada is very interested in this election too.  We all wish we could vote!! LOL. Yes! NO more of those insane political ads! Have a lovely time with your mom!  80 is a big birthday. 

 

I sure hope to surprise everyone too and come out of this surgery glowing!

I had blood thinners had while I did all my by pass surgery, and did fine as really well.  anxiety and panic is back.  don't worry about it.  YOu will do what you can to do the things needed.  It will be good Ginny, don't worry.  it is different because this is the thing you have to do.  My words are not done as I supposed to do.  just remember things will be good for you.  The surgery will be well for you, and you will do the surgery, and will awake and talking before you know it.

Yes it will save yourself a stroke because of this surgery.  I hear you Ginny.  I will be there in spirit as much as you need me to be.  I will pray for you every moment until you awake and can hear again from your surgery.

And unity we will be for all of us.  we will be for us.  It is not just a one for us.  We have the unity that we have because we need to be.

I am so sorry things have happened and I cannot give you the words better to give to you what i want to give to you.

I am fairly  certain that I have had a stroke.  my words get worse to speak.  but some ability to write or type.  will be there Ginny every minute for you until I need you to be.

Coming my granddaughter will come here after five.  I have to talk to her.  She can help me to do the things that I need to do.  write the checks and things for monthly bills.  and see for a neurologist.

Don't let go Ginny.  I am be there for you.  You are like my daughter.  She is younger to my youngest daughter.  So much let me be a mommy person when I can.  Not to replace your mother, just a stand in mama as she can be for you.

will do the best I can do it.  i may have my own worst enemy now.  Just simply did not think that we could be helped by ER.  but am ask a emergency office visit for rheumy.  and then an emergency visit for neurologist.  More MRI testing I hope.

When I had my other stroke the ER simply sent me home, and asked me to have a neurologist for six weeks before I had the MRI to actually get done.  there is nothing that they can do.  The ER simply do not do what they are supposed to do.  I sat while my mother had a massive stoke.  For hours she was not seen, and when they got her finally seen, it was too late.

For six weeks was seen as an a neurologist.  after the stroke, was learn to have my right arm trained by myself before we ever knew the neurologist didn't to help me. 

It may be ER and send me the home again or not.  a cat skan will do a CAT Scan, and when it is deep in my brain that a CAT scan will not find the results needed.  and still sent home. 

I am going to do the best that I can with what I need to.  Speech I do not have this happened to me, but can't nothing I can do about it.

please have your surgery, and maybe we can both do our thing with it.  I will send you prayers as I can.  It sounds stupid I am trying to do with speech.  but I will get it up again.

I will do the best that I can.

 

have to let you know as it goes.  want so badly to support to you with your surgery.  when it rains it pours.  but we will get there Ginny...........always.

I went to the doctor.  my gp doc.  He did an ekg, and sent me for a cat scan.  Today I have to drive to my doctor tomorrow to get the referral to a neurologist.  I can drive, sweep the floor, was dishes, just not quite learn done yet.  my speech is coming back pretty good.  I talk all day.  as soon as I can.  and I am not a talker nono    I write pretty good, but not a good talker.

I hope that someone knows Ginny well enough to tell her I am ok.  had a stroke, probably. and will let you know.  MRI will tell me if it is the deep of the brain to where maybe the stroke is deep inside.

Or Lupus has created white matter instead of a stroke again.  I have white matter caused by Lupus.  Of course no one gets diagnosed on House do they?

My cousin has MS and MS causes her to have white matter, lesions too.

Please tell Ginny I am so sorry that I had such a fuss.  I will wait hopefully for your post Ginny, or for someone who knows Ginny can tell her.

I will be at the doctor again tomorrow, finding me my referral, and to talk to the neurologist maybe.  who knows.  they will probably soon we have to get an appointment, and then an appointment for a MRI, and then the results will be sent to the neurologist,  about six or seven weeks.  I will have my results.  at the mean time, I will practice and practice until I speak again well.
