Hi everyone,
After lurking for months and reading Alwaysrosie's money saving idea for dinner, I thought maybe we could list ways we could save money and still do things for gifts, dinners, etc for the holidays. I know many of us, including myself are on limited incomes. And even if we are not, why not still try ways to stash extra money in the bank and make gifts for friends and families. This can be a fun upbeat thread, keep our minds and hands busy and also a distraction to keep our minds off our pain and keep us going.
I see Rosie has had the Trivia going, and I have noticed I am not going to the gym like I should and am getting too comfy. I know I am gonna hurt anyway, so I am going back to the gym to do what I can as I noticed I am more stiff sitting around and my pain levels are the same. We can use this as a motivation do get busy and have some fun, and do a few things for the holidays, even if its on the couch making a few things for friends and family from a limited budget.
Okay so here goes. I think at the beginning of our response please list what your idea is so
so we know what we are reading
considering my fog is always there and somedays worst considering if I have had sleep or not. Rosie, please let me know if we can reference other websites for crafts or not as I do not want to break the rules.
Scented/herbal Home made bath salts.
2 lbs. Epsom salts
3-4 drops of essential oil, any scent
3-4 drops of food coloring, any color optional
add few Tbsp of herbs you like to match the essential oil you added like lavender, chamomile
Pour epsom salts in big bowl. In small container add 3 Tbsp of Epsom Salts, the scent desired, and if so the food coloring. Mix thoroughly. Continue to add uncolored/unscented Epsom salts to the colored/scented until you have about
2 cups total. Add any herbs. Add the 2 cups to the big bowl until all is colored and scented. Arrange in jars. Decorate with ribbon or paint.
I have found you can get epsom salts pretty cheap at the local dollar store, Costco/Sams along with decorative jars or nice holiday plastic containers.
Hope you all like this as it is inexpensive and goes along way. More to come.
