I wanted to share with all of you the great news I found out yesterday.  I am pregnant!!!  I'm going to be a mommy  =)  I am so super excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will definately keep you guys updated on how its going.
So far I am feeling great. no sickness or anything (yet). LOL I am so excited!!!
Of course everyone has already been throwing out names at me hahaha. My due date is Jan. 14th. I would love to hear pregnancy stories from everyone who has one to share =) Esp. how your lupus went along with it. I don't think I'll have much problems, but I will keep close watch for sure!

OMG Congradulations Ashley!

I couldnt tell you any story, as I miscarried and now my medication I am on would endanger any fetus if I were to get pregnant. However, I can tell you all about my son, who is now 5 years old. He is not mine biologically, but he's still my son. His biological was abusive in all forms, so the dad got soul custody whilst I was dating the dad. When we broke it up, we just kept it as me as mom, and I still take him on weekends. But when they get older, its a riot. They will say and do the funniest things. I babysat todya for a friend, the kid is two, and I asked her if she needed changed. Her response was "Im weeeeettttttt" with the attitude of "hello change me!"

I am Beth from the Philippines. I have a sister-in-law who has a lupus nephritis and it was discovered when she got pregnant. At this very moment, she is now in the Davao Doctor's Hospital being observed closely by her doctor because she might deliver the baby (nearly 6 months) soon. The problem is that we cannot afford the medication and the day to day needs to pay in the hospital. Our government can only provide assistance in the public hospital which have a limited facility to cater her case. I would just like to ask, if anybody here can help me link to any help we can get. Congratulations, Ashley!! I hope your pregnancy is a beautiful time for you. I know that both times when I was expecting, once I got past the fatigue in the first 3 months, I felt really good . . . I wish for the same for you!

I had 3 pregnancies that resulted in 3 healthy children. The first pregnancy went without any issues, no morning sickness and a text book delivery. The second I had terrible nausea for 6 months then went into labor so I was on best rest for the last 3 and had him 1 month early. The third I went the same except I had renal involvement towards the end as well. I was able to make it through these years with no meds but right after the third I became seriously ill. My suggestion is to get plenty of rest while pregnant, and after. Make sure to have lots of helpers for the first few months afterwards to keep yourself well rested and healthy. Good Luck, everything should be fine. My kids are 12-16 now and I am doing well.

Thanks everyone for all your responses and sharing some of your stories w/me.

I couldn't be more excited. I go for my prenatal assessment on Monday.

I have just started to feel a little bit of morning sickness throughout this week. Usually if I keep something in my belly its not so bad and eventually passes. My breasts have been really really sore. But so far that is all that is going on. I'll be sure to keep ya'll updated =)

Well I went for my pre-natal assessment yesterday.  All that happened there was a bunch of questions reguarding how I was doing so for and health history and all that good stuff.  Also got some blood work done and the most fun part, peeing in a cup LOL.

I go back next Tuesday to do the PAP and all of that fun stuff.  I was thinking they were going to do it all at one appt. but I guess not. 

So far, so good!  I keep getting more and more excited.  My dad is getting excited too, haha...he is so funny.  He keeps telling me that I am going to have girl...well everyone has been telling me that actually...but He must have been thinking of names pretty hard to where she would be named after him.  His name is Anthony Earl...and he came up with  Earlynn. LOL LOL   All I could do is laugh, I said you would have to have an accent just to say it LOL.
