Alright so I've had lupus since i was 15 and im now 19, i get the rash every summer all summer long. I dont feel comfortable wearing tank tops or sleeveless shirtts because my rash is on my face, arms and chest. i try putting make up over my rash , but it doesnt exactly help, I actually thInk people notice it more when i try covering it up. does anyone have any good make up ideas for me to use to lighten up this rash :((( pleaseee!!!

I use clinque with spf in it I dont have a rash, but I have acne from the predisone. It covers really well for me. Good luck.

bare minerals works great for me you can get samples and lessons on applying it from any sephora store and you can get cheap samples from ebay to try different colors I can't wear many makeups because they irritate my skin but this stuff has worked wonders. I think any mineral make up would likely work just be careful of additives. there are some that claim to be mineral makeup but have chemicals added. I would suggest asking a dermatologist about any makeup you use because of you skin issues, you really don't want to make it worse.

Here is what I do I will run down step by step. This has worked well this summer, for care and cover up issues. I take a good moisturizer which contains a sunscreen...there are many of these out they will often contain 15sunscreen or higher. I then get a few shades of the mineral make up in powder form. the best one is called Physician's formula. My Rheummy actually told me this one was good. Most pharmacy's will have it. Remember, powder form cover up in a few shades close to yours. The buy little containers for mixing up your own make up :) . Then get the wedges you apply make up with. They are sold in pharmacy and also not very expensive. (as far as the containers-I just use travel soap boxes, which are only 99 cents). Mix up the moisturizer with the shades of powder mineral make up. This works well for many reasons. First, you can get many shades even if you only have two or three shades of powder. I only have two. However, the moisturizer will lighten or darken the shade of the make up. You can also mix two powders together with the misturizer. After you blend it in the container, and apply it, you will see that not only does it give you very good cover up, it is a very light and healthy feel for sensitive skin like ours!!! I will never use any other make up again now that I figured this little trick out.
