Would you mind sharing the blood results that are positive with your lupus?

I am trying to get as much information so I can feel comfortable with a diagnoses.  I go back for a follow up with my Rhuematologist, but from what I understand, my bloodwork all came back normal except for the +ANA.

So if you can, will you please tell us which blood work you are positive for with your lupus.  Thank you.

High ANA, C3 and C4 are always real low, high sed rate, high creatinie, low platlets and red blood cells. To be honest my blood work is pretty much what you would see for Lupus from a book. Has been for 3 years with very little change. sometimes my ANA will go up or down a bit. that is how I was diagnosed at my 2nd apt with my first rheumy.

I have had a positive ana (1:640 speckled), elevated SED rate (with first rheumy), low C3, positive SSA (second rheumy), low WBC.... I think that's it. My blood work unlike Amy's slowly progressed over a year. First it was positive ANA and SED rate, then C3 and SSA a year later. After I found a excellent rheumy that listened to me I too was dx on my second visit with my third rheumy. But for most people it can take years, just depends on your symptoms, your labs and your doctor.

Thank you so much for posting your blood test results. This might be helpful to a lot of us "maybe's" out there!! I really appreciate it.

I did call the Rhuematologist office today and the nurse said the Dr signed off on that, and she was assuming that meant everything was normal. I'll pick up the results tomorrow and see for myself what she tested. But from what I understand, she was testing for all lupus related blood abnormalities.

My blood results have been:

+ANA as high as 1:640 but also negative results within two weeks of taking that one

+ACA 35 was the highest.

All my other lupus tests results came back negative!

That is it.  I'm still waiting for my follow up with the Rhuematologist and have my Nuerologist appt on Friday.

Susan. I was a healthy male, long distance runner until four years ago. While on vacation developed a sudden onset of fever, chills, flu-like symptoms with generalized joint pain. Symptoms subsided after a few days but it left me with extreme fatigue. Around 90 days later I developed the same symptoms but with a fever that reached 104. I was admitted to a local medical center and worked up for everything imaginable. In the end, no diagnosis, just given a nebulous diagnosis of fevers of unknown origin. Over the next year these symptoms occurred in a cyclic fashion every 90 days. During the second hospital admission of recurring high fevers, a bone marrow test was performed but thankfully it didn't show anything significant but it did confirm anemia, albeit marginal. My Rheumy prescribed Plaquinel 400mg. twice daily which did seem to control the fevers. My joints, in particular, wrists and hands were very painful even following high doses of NAIDS. Eventually my Rheumy added Methotrexate and titrated it to 25mg. Pain was a little less except during flares. The only thing that helped at that point was a Prednisone taper. Recently have started Humera injections, biweekly subcutaneous injections. Too soon to tell if it will improve my level of pain. Throughout this ordeal, my labs have been marginal. ANA positive and titer of 1:16-1:32, specked pattern, sed rates 18-80. I have never received a firm diagnosis of Lupus. I have seen two Rheumys who both refer to my illness has "Lupus-like or reminiscent of Lupus". I have been diagnosed with Sero-negative Rheumatoid arthritis which could be secondary to a connective tissue disase. After four years, no diagnosis. On the other hand, I'm not sure treatment would be different.
