Gut Pain

Sometimes my intestines hurt like crazy! It feels like someone is either poking them or squeezing them really hard, and then picking a new place to poke. Some days it even hurts just to touch my stomach or twist my torso. The pain is only in the front, not in the back. To make it weirder, everything is 'passing' just fine.

After 6 months of intermittent pain, I got in to see a GI guy. It took a long time to get an appointment, and by the time I did, there had been no pain for almost 3 weeks. The doc told me that it "must have taken care of itself!"

Anyone else have similar problems? Any suggestions for making it go away?

I had one doc tell me I had allergic responses to a whole list of stuff, so I went dairy-free and gluten-free for a long time with no help. My rheumy tested me again for such allergies and I think celiac, but with only negative results.

My rheumy gave me Reglan to help, which it does, by my GI doc said it shouldn't help and shouldn't have been prescribed. I travel a lot, and the pain didn't change in either direction when I was anywhere else, or at home. I was in East Africa for 6 weeks and hat the same symptoms as when I'm home, and diets are completely different.
