Anyone constantly got dry sore cracked feet??

Oh bless your heart! My brother has awful dry skin and his feet and hands crack and bleed. My feet go through that from time to time and I battle with some cracked heal products that if I wait to long take forever to help. I'm not sure if it would work and I know you mentioned cotton socks but there is a product out there I thought about trying. They are called spa socks. and they are made for extremely dry cracked feet. the longer you wear them the more they are supposed to help. I only have the problem maybe  twice a year but I sympathize with you. I have had to walk on the balls of my feet because my heals hurt too bad to step down on them. I moght try the spa socks befre I have the problem again and see how the work. Even if my feet aren't all cracked up it is supposed to make them softer. I can't offer an ad wear to buy them because it's against board policy but I have seen them in AVON books before. Other then that I use aveeno oatmeal (kind of soap) bar. which helps with skin problems with lupus. I'm sorry I have nothing else I can think of but it's only 8am and a half a cup of coffee in me so far.

try bag balm or a similar product meant for cow udders, seriously or horse ointment. Those are serious moisturizers. If you find anything that works let me know my husband's hands are like your feet only I can't get them to absorb moisturizers.

I too suffer from cracked feet occasionally.  I get pedicures every now and then to have them exfoliate the skin and get the dead tissue off.  Also I'm sure you have tried vaseline with socks on, if not, it's supposed to help.  For the cow and horse products you can get them at any farm and animal supply store like Farm and Fleet.  You could also call a local veterinarian that deals with large animals and ask them if they have any on supply or where to get it.  Good Luck!

my son suffers from severe eczema and he always have cracked heals... i use Aquaphor slather it on and put socks on them and sleep in those every night... you can even do it throughout the day its thicker than vaseline... good luck

I have used Medline Remedy Skin Repair cream.

Its very good and you can buy it online at walgreens or amazon.  I am not sure if they sell it right at the walgreens store.  I bought the big bottle online.

 

Hi. I used to have normal feet, but after a long holiday in the middle east my feet became so dry they cracked and at sometimes bled. Since then I used many products, but the only products that really worked were Lanolin based products. The best product I have found is Nixsi foot cream. I brought it from my local pharmacy after my pharmacist recommended it, assuring me its great for dry and cracked feet. Its worked for me. I'm not sure exactly which shops other shops you can buy it from, but the website is www.nixsi.com and I have found it on ebay also.

I swear by Bag Balm. Buy it at Drug Mart. When my feet are really bad, I slather this stuff on , put plastic bags over my feet, and socks over the plastic bags. Then I go to bed. By morning the improvement is amazing. Hope you find something that makes you feel better!

FlowerWoman have you seen a dermatologist for your feet? I ask this because I have Psoriasis on the soles of my feet and get blisters that crack open resulting in sores. Many times my feet are so raw I cannot stand on them. You mentioned itching and when I am getting ready for an outbreak I have the worst itching you can imagine. I now have medication for this but one of the biggest helpers is Aquafor Healing Ointment that I put on right after my shower. I always wear a white sport sock too because this tends to be greasy but oh does it ever work.It took a dermatologist to dx my problem, none of my other drs had a clue.

It's true my feet are made worse when exposed and i was missdiagnosed because it was suspected that i had psorisis on my feet since i have a family history of psoriasis (was told i had psoratic arthritis and then when i suffered loads of other stuff and became quite ill constantly i was then given my SLE diagnosis) i'm going to give some of your sugestions a try though and i'll let you know what helps!
