Vent

I am so very tired of lupus. Two weeks ago I fell (again) and bruised my ribs. It has take weeks to get my strength back since being hospitalized for partial bowel obstruction in Aug. I never have lots of energy anyway.   I had to postpone my gastric bypass surgery. It was so much work to get letters from all my docs and now I have to get them again.  My hair is thinning again. I don't run fevers, but I get chills most days. I've had plantar faciitis in my feet for many months and finally have taken to wear a foot brace on which ever is hurting the most when I sleep. My heals get so dry and cracked they bleed. It's really painful. I try my best to keep them exfoliated and moisturized, but it's just one more daily battle. Sjogrens makes my lips stick to my teeth and my mouth taste down right bad. I've broken 2 teeth this year. I've never been able to handle my lupus psychologically so I've been seeing a psychiatrist for years and take lots of psych meds. I had sinus surgery in April, but I still have constant post nasal drip. I had sleep studies done this year and am back on a cpap. I've had pleurisy 3 times this year and swine flu in Jan.

I plod along going to every medical visit, but I'm soooo sick of going. I take 13 different medications each day and none of my docs will let me stop any. If you've read this far you're an angel. Love, Butterflake

It does get to be too, too, much, doesn't it. It seems tougher for me when I start thinking about tomorrow and getting mad when I know it will probably be a tough day. I know what you mean about having to resubmit paperwork, too. I just started the disability process.  Venting is ok, especially with us, because we have so much in common. Hope your day brings you a moment of joy or comfort,

ps. i am going to slice a beautiful, shiny, purple eggplant and make eggplant parmesan today if it kills me. If you were here, I would ask you to help slice and batter the slices for me. I have my little George Forman grill out..... hmmmnnnn  eggplant here I come. Emeril Lagasse... I thank you for the recipe.
