More confused then ever after seeing DR. Is this normal?

Hi everybody, I am sorry about all of my post regarding my situation but I am just really confused  I went to see my DR yesterday to find out what I should do as my lymes treatment did nothing to help me. My DR told me at my appointment that he felt as though I did not actually have lymes, he said that the 21 days of doxy should be sufficient and that if I had lymes I would have had improvement. He told me the next step of treatment would be IV antibiotic treatment but he feels I do not need it and told me he is sure I do not have lymes.   Ok so I asked him if I had it for many years maybe 21 days is not enough treatment he then told me that I do not have symptoms of long term lymes so this is not the case. Well I then asked him about the purple lupus elephant that has been in the room of every DR appointment I have ever been to dating back to 4 years ago. He said that he thinks I may have a mild form of lupus since I am not too sick ( I actually do feel tired and have pain throughout my body everyday but tend not to show it). He said he will order another ANA test and go from there, I have to wait however another 4 weeks for my blood test because I am not yet done with my vitamin D deficiency   treatment. He mentioned treating me with plaquil (spelling?).   At the end of the conversation I asked him what is wrong. He said quote "it can be lupus" "it can be growing pain" by the way I am 24 years old and have been done growing for years, plus I doubt all this pain and fatigue is from growing pains and then he said "or it can be a little bit of everything", yeah I do not even know where to begin with that one. He then looked at me and said hey at least its not fibromyalgia.   So I am just wondering is it normal to feel this confused after seeing your Dr. I mean a few times he looked at me and said well I dont know what is going on. If I don’t get real answers at my next appointment in a month I am   honestly going to give up like I did a few years ago and never go to a Dr again.   I just want to be ok. I am thinking about going back to school in spring to become a psychologist (I need 5 more years before I can be licensed to practice. I would definitly recommend a new doctor, he seems as if he treats things like they're trivial. I can sure see how you'd be confused, i would think some annoyance would be in order also.

Thank you all for your replies. The thing is that he is a Rheumy and he is actually a Lupus specialist, that is why I am so confused by his answers. Red Rose I think he is waiting to check my blood because he wants me to finish the vitamin D treatment so that he can run all the testing in one shot. He did recommend I start taking moltrin but my pains are so random throughout the day I don’t know if that would help or not. I am so afraid of medication and needles and going to dr's a lot of it stems from when I was very sick when I was a kid with a blood disease and almost died.  I spent so much time in the hospital I had to be held back a grade in school. Anyways I guess I should start looking for a new doc.

I recently relocated (starting to regret it) but I am only a short ride away from the city. That would be great if you can give me the docs information. I am actually going to be spending time in manhattan next month.

Well, in the Lyme forum we're not supposed to post Lyme doctors names because so many of them have been persecuted (and prosecuted!) for treating patients with long-term illnesses.
