I posted this question on my Facebook lupus page and figured I'd post it here as well.
Has anyone ever heard of this?
I've had a numb but hypersensitive feeling in most of my right wrist and forearm (and very slightly in the left) ever since I got Tendonitis in March of this year. I got tendonitis again 2 months ago, and the hypersensitivity is worse than ever. It hurts really bad if I even barely touch my arm with something. It hurts to even blow a little air on it! I believe this is caused from CRPS, and I was wondering if any of you have experience with this.
Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a chronic pain condition that mainly affects the arms and legs. Symptoms include:
-Pain that may move farther up or down the affected limb
-Severe burning, aching pain that increases with the slightest touch or breeze
-Skin that becomes dry and thin, changes color
-Swelling with warmth or coolness
I have all of these symptoms. I've been applying an ice pack to my arm once or twice a day for quite some time now. I don't currently have health insurance or a lot of money but I think I'll have to go into the doctor soon anyway for this before it gets any worse. It's going to cost a fortune.
I'm so frustrated with all these health problems!!
